ABOUT ME
My name is Jenny Kallis. I'm a craftsperson and innovator by trade and an artist by nature. Working with my hands and expressing my imagination and ideas have always been essential for my soul.
I come from a family of artists including my maternal great-grandfather William Swift Daniell and my paternal grandfather Mischa Kallis. Art was always present in our home and conversations.
Although art has always been first love, I built a career in architecture and design that spanned 30 years.
Over the years I created personal art as time permitted (See Archive Prints) but I knew that one day I'd return to visual arts as an avenue to both discover and share my world.
On January 1, 2016, I knew it was time to go back to the drawing board. Instinctively, the tool I needed to use for the drawings would be the wood burner... but it was by a happy accident that I discovered painting with wax.
I am very excited to share my work with you!
